Always Open for Discovery

The library is always open for students to access materials throughout the school day. Students can check out books to take home during their scheduled class visits or any time during open checkout hours. Every week, all students visit the library, where we explore digital literacy, digital citizenship, computer science, research skills, and key literacy concepts.

Book Borrowing Guidelines

Per district protocol, Kindergarten students may begin checking out books starting in the 2nd Quarter. K-3 students are allowed to check out one book at a time for up to two weeks, while 4th-6th graders may check out two books. This privilege may be revoked if students do not properly care for their books. Students with overdue books are not allowed to check out additional items until they are returned. Though Tilles Elementary does not charge fines, students are responsible for paying for any lost or damaged books.
